Piptospatha Ridleyi is a rare plant, that belongs in the same family asBucephalandras. Originating from Borneo, these plants are able to grow in both submerged and emerged environment. If grown above water, be sure to provide high humidify to prevent the leaves from drying.The leaves ofPiptospatha Ridleyi are elongated with a dark green coloration. Unique light green marking run throughout the leaf.

Being a slow growerPiptospatha Ridleyi prefers low to moderate light. High lighting may cause algae to grow on the leaves. Care should be taken when plantingPiptospatha Ridleyi into a tank. This plant is best grown attached to wood, rocks, or above substrate. Be sure to avoid burying the rhizome, if buried the plant will suffocate, melt, and eventually die.
